Your first visit to İstanbul
This is visit one: assessment, scan, implant placement and temporary teeth where your case allows. The schedule below is drawn for a single implant — three to four nights in İstanbul. Multiple implants follow the same order over the stay set in your written plan, and a full arch needs seven to ten nights, because there is more to place and more to check before you fly. Your final teeth are fitted on a second, shorter visit three to six months later, once the implants have integrated.

Your dentist goes through the scan with you — how many implants, where they go, and whether a bone graft or sinus lift is needed first. Nothing starts until you have agreed it.
The implants are placed under local anaesthetic, with sedation available in the hospital if you would prefer it. A single implant takes 30 to 60 minutes; a full arch on four or six implants takes two to four hours, and sits inside the longer seven-to-ten-night full-arch stay rather than this one.
Your dentist checks the sites and how you are healing before you are cleared to fly. A full arch is checked more than once, across its longer stay.
Where your case allows, temporary fixed teeth are fitted so you do not travel home with a gap. You are shown how to clean around the implants while they heal.
Your written plan sets whether you fly on day 4 or day 5 — three or four nights in İstanbul.

Implant treatment in Turkey costs considerably less than in the UK, Ireland or Germany — largely because hospital and staffing costs are lower, not because the standard of care is. Your price depends on how many implants you need, whether any grafting is required first, and what goes on top of them: a single crown, a bridge, or a full fixed arch. We do not publish a single figure, because quoting a number before we have seen your photographs and your scan would be guesswork. You receive one written all-inclusive quote covering both visits, usually within 24 hours, and it does not change once agreed.
Normally two. One to place the implant, and a second three to six months later to fit the crown or bridge once the implant has integrated with the bone. A full arch can sometimes be completed in a single longer stay — your dentist tells you which applies to you after the scan, and both visits are set out in your written plan before you book a flight.
Because an implant is not simply screwed in and loaded. The titanium has to fuse with your jawbone — osseointegration — and that takes time your body decides, not us. Loading a final tooth onto an implant before it has integrated is how implants fail.
Usually not. Where your case allows it, temporary fixed teeth are fitted during your first visit so you leave İstanbul with something in place while the implants heal underneath. Whether that is possible depends on how much bone you have and how stable the implants are on the day — your dentist confirms it at the scan and again at placement, and will say plainly if your case is one where it is not advisable.
It is common, particularly if teeth have been missing for years, and it is usually solvable. A bone graft rebuilds width or height where it has been lost; a sinus lift creates room in the upper back jaw. Your 3D CBCT scan shows which, if either, you need — and if grafting is required it is quoted in the same written plan, not added afterwards. Occasionally a graft has to heal before implants can be placed, which adds a stage; you would be told that before you book.
A single implant replaces one tooth without touching the healthy teeth either side, which a conventional bridge cannot do. A few implants can carry a bridge across a longer gap. When most or all of the teeth in a jaw are gone or cannot be saved, a full arch on four or six implants replaces them with one fixed set of teeth. Your dentist recommends the option that fits your bone and your bite, and explains what each would mean, before anything is decided.
Around 3 to 4 nights for a single implant placement, and 7 to 10 nights for a full arch. The second visit, when your final teeth are fitted, is shorter. Your exact schedule is confirmed in your written plan before you book flights.
Local anaesthetic is used for all implant work, and sedation is available inside the hospital for anxious patients. Most patients describe pressure rather than pain during placement, with some swelling and tenderness for a few days afterwards, managed with the medication in your package.
Implants are designed as a long-term replacement, and your implant carries the manufacturer's own documentation. Your written plan sets out the guarantee that comes with your work. How long yours last depends heavily on how you look after them: implants still need daily cleaning and regular hygiene appointments, and smoking and uncontrolled gum disease both work against them. Your dentist is honest with you about this before you commit.
It is, provided you are treated in an accredited setting by specialist dentists with proper imaging and follow-up. If your bone, your gum health or your medical history means implants are not advisable for you, we tell you before you book.
Your coordinator stays in contact for 12 months, and through the whole gap between your two visits. You send photos at agreed intervals, your dental team reviews them, and you can reach us on WhatsApp at any point. If something concerns you while the implants are healing, we would rather hear about it early.
